In case you missed it, a little over a month ago,

Annemiek van Vleuten’s remarkable second World C $Annemiek van Vleuten’s remarkable second World Championship win in 2022 is remembered as one of the most incredible feats in cycling history. Just a few days before the road race, Van Vleuten suffered a serious crash during the mixed relay team time trial, which resulted in a fractured elbow. Despite this injury, she decided to start the road race, even with a lot of pain and a significant handicap. In the final kilometre of the road race, Van Vleuten launched a surprising and powerful attack. She managed to create a gap that the other riders couldn’t close in time. She became a World Champion for the second time after this incredible attack in the final kilometre... all despite having a fractured elbow.
